Dr Christopher Watts (1998 London) MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCGP, DRCOG, DGM, DCH, DOccMed, PG Cert in Medical Education

General Practitioner/Senior Partner

I qualified from University College London Medical School, and completed postgraduate training at Kingston Hospital. I joined the practice in 2006 and my interests are respiratory medicine, occupational medicine and postgraduate medical education. I am a GP Trainer and I am also a Programme Director for the Kingston Hospital GP Vocational Training Scheme. Outside of work I play a variety of sports to an ever decreasing standard.

Dr Amy Boughton (2002 London) MBBS, BSc, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP, Dip Derm, PG Cert in Medical Education

I graduated from Royal Free Hospital Medical School and trained in Islington before joining the York Medical Practice in 2007.  My clinical areas of interest are dermatology, womens health and healthcare for people with learning disabilities. I am also a GP Trainer and Appraiser and a tutor for the department of dermatology at Cardiff University. I have two young children and spend my free time on our allotment where we battle slugs and try to grow flowers and vegetables.

Dr Catriona Humphries (2004 London) MBBS BSc MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFSRH

I qualified as a doctor from Imperial College, London, in 2004 and joined the York Medical Practice as a GP registrar in 2008. After completing my training within the practice I joined as a permanent member of staff. My areas of clinical interest are women’s health and family planning. I have three children.

Dr Christopher Lambert (2014 Nottingham) BMBS MRCGP MA

I qualified from University of Nottingham in 2014, and then completed my junior doctor and GP training in Central and North West London. Before studying medicine, I worked in lobbying and public affairs and have degrees in Politics and Philosophy and International Relations. My areas of clinical interest include Palliative Care, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Paediatrics; but I enjoy all areas as a generalist. I live locally to the practice with my wife and two young daughters.

Dr Sindhu Pathmabaskaran MRCGP MBBS BSc DRCOG

I qualified from Imperial College London in 2010 and went on to complete my foundation training in South London. Before starting my GP training in 2013 I spent a year travelling which included providing medical aid in rural parts of Nepal for a couple of months. I enjoy all aspects of general practice but particularly enjoy women’s health. Aside from general practice I have an interest in Expedition and Wilderness medicine and my hobbies include trekking and being outdoors! When I’m not working I’m enjoying life with my two young children, husband and puppy.

Dr Victoria White (2000 Bristol) MRCCP DRCOG MBBS BSc (Hons)

I qualified from Imperial College in 2007 having worked in Public Relations before deciding to train to become a doctor. My first degree was in physiology and I graduated from Bristol University  in 2000. I joined The York Medical Practice as a registrar in 2011. Having completed my training I have returned to work here. I enjoy all areas of general practice. I have three children who keep me busy on my days off.

Dr Sarah Britton BM MRCGP

I qualified from Southampton University in 2011 and completed my Foundation training in the Birmingham area. I then moved to the local area to complete my GP training in Kingston. After completing my training I was lucky enough to go travelling for 8 months in South and Central America, Australia and New Zealand. Upon my return in 2017 I joined York Medical Practice. I enjoy all areas of general practice. Outside work I am a keen runner and love to travel and cook.

I graduated from University College Dublin in 2012 and then specialised in General Medicine and subsequently Medical Oncology before starting General Practice training. I returned to York Medical Practice after spending 6 great months here during my training scheme. I live locally with my family and in my free time I like to run and I love food and all things food-related hence the requirement for running.

Dr Jordan Shoesmith MBBS (hons) BA (hons) MRCGP

I qualified from Kings College London in 2016, having done a history degree at the same university prior. I underwent my training in a variety of places, from London to Australia, and ended up doing my final year of GP training at York Medical Practice where I was fortunate enough to stay on when I fully qualified. My special interests are in Paediatrics, Rheumatology and Palliative Care.

I qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2010 and completed my subsequent junior doctor and GP training in Surrey and South West London. I have an interest in women’s health and family planning.
I have two children and we enjoy exploring the great outdoors and walking our dog. I also enjoy yoga, spinning and running.

I graduated from Newcastle University in MSc Physician Associate studies in 2020. This course involved medical training including a number of placements across the North East, such as GP, A&E, surgery and general medicine. I work as a clinician with the support and supervision of the GPs at the practice. I also have a keen interest in women’s health and family planning. In my spare time I love cooking, painting and exploring London.
